On April 23, the Farizon brand debuts at the Auto Shanghai 2025. As a key part of Geely Holding Group's Methanol Technology booth, Farizon presents two models: world premiere of methanol REV Farizon SV and the methanol REV Homtruck. By utilizing innovative methanol technology, Farizon offers new solutions for green travel.
Methanol Farizon: Farizon has always adhered to a dual-technology roadmap of “Methanol+Electric” powertrains, and on this basis, has developed multiple power forms. Centered on Geely’s methanol REV technology, Farizon is making plans for methanol ecology and establishing a green methanol transportation system. In 2023, the cauldron of the 19thAsian Games in Hangzhou was ignited for the first time by methanol fuel produced by Geely, and transportation was guaranteed by Farizon methanol REV heavy trucks. In September 2024, Farizon obtained China’s first Certificate of Type Approval for an M100 single-fuel methanol engine issued by the China Classification Society (CCS). This signifies that Farizon methanol REV system has gained authoritative industry recognition in the marine sector. In October of the same year, the first phase of the 100,000-ton demonstration project with an annual output of 500,000 tons of green methanol in Alxa was officially launched. In February 2025, as a member of Geely’s methanol REV service fleet, Farizon provided all-around travel guarantees for the Asian Winter Games.
The showcased Farizon SV and Homtruck are powertrain models developed based on methanol REV technology. The Farizon Homtruck 6×4 methanol REV tractor adopts the XL flagship caravan cabin and is equipped with a 260kW methanol REV system. It offers a maximum range of up to 1,500 kilometers, has the road rights for green license plate vehicles and meets the requirements for full-range line haul logistics scenarios. The methanol REV Farizon SV perfectly completes the last piece of the puzzle in Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group’s methanol REV product spectrum, marking the official birth of the “Farizon methanol REV family.” Currently, these two models are exclusively in the Chinese market.
Electric Farizon: As China’s first commercial vehicle brand to achieve an all-new-energy product series, Farizon leverages the accumulated passenger vehicle technology to create electrification solutions better suited to commercial vehicle demand scenarios. To this end, Farizon established GLINX Technology to exclusively develop the EIC system core technologies better suited to commercial vehicle demand scenarios, achieving core advantages such as high efficiency, light-weighted design, and low cost. In 2024, Farizon launched the Xuanwu Battery, delivering comprehensive innovations across four domains: battery cells, structure, thermal management, and intelligent BMS, thereby setting the highest industry standards. Currently, Farizon’s international market products primarily focus on pure electric models, including the Farizon SV, V6E, H9E, etc., accelerating the global transition to green land transportation.
By the first quarter of 2025, the pure electric Farizon SV has gradually opened up the international market, gaining traction in multiple locations across Europe, the Gulf countries, and the Asia-Pacific region. As a Farizon exclusively-developed electric large van, the Farizon SV is built on the GXA-M architecture. International customers have widely praised its high charging efficiency, long driving range, high-load capacity with a hidden B-pillar design,spacious cargo area and other highlights. Notably, the Farizon SV achieved an excellent score of 85 and received the Platinum rating in the latest commercial vehicle tests conducted by Euro NCAP, one of the world’s most authoritative safety testing organizations.
